A typical first day appointment usually lasts approximately 45 - 60 minutes. The first day involves obtaining a case history, performing a detailed examination, and taking radiographs (x-rays) if necessary. There will be time allotted for questions, so a clear understanding of the presenting problem is gained. On most first day visits, some form of treatment will be initiated to begin alleviating symptoms.
The second appointment involves presentation of a written treatment plan that will outline care in detail. The number of visits a patient may need per week is based on patient need and depends on information collected on the first visit. A patientís x-rays will be presented with a clinical explanation of what is causing the pain. The second appointment usually takes approximately 20 minutes. If treatment was not performed during the first visit, then the patient will receive their first adjustment.
Each return visit takes approximately 10 - 15 minutes. It is my goal to keep patientís wait time to a minimum.
